Hi, It was comforting to read this story. I just got back from hospital stay with my 17 mos old. He tested positive for Influenza A but not sure if seasonal or H1N1. So they started him on tamiflu. What brought us to hosp was he could not breathe at all plus he was already diagnoised a few days earlier with double ear infection (we are getting tubes next week and adnoids removed) So needless to say I was shocked as well b/c we haven't been anywhere at all to get it. I have a 5 yr old as well and he only got a runny nose cold and is fine and then my 17 mos old showed these symptoms but very high fever and breathing was bad. So we went to peds in which they put him in hosp right away and so I rang in the new year with my son in hosptial peds unit. They have him on Tamiflu, Steriods, Omnicef and albuterol. Yikes.. I am hoping not to get it myself but I think I would have already shown symptoms by now... Hope your little ones stay healthy~!!
